What is considered news? How do we judge the messages we receive through media in the digital age? During MDLAB 2017, Dr. Claudia Kozman gave a lecture on deconstructing extreme and radical messages in the Digital Age. Dr. Kozman referred to framing theories and facts and discussed examples and case studies with the audience.
Dr. Claudia Kozman is an assistant professor of multimedia journalism in the Department of Communication Arts and the Research Director of the Institute of Media Research and Training at the Lebanese American University. Her research primarily focuses on news content, with particular interest in news values, sourcing, and intermedia issue transfer. She has more than 13 years of experience as a journalist in print, broadcast, and digital media.
